FC Helsingør has signed the experienced striker Jeppe Kjær, who joins the club after his contract with newly promoted Lyngby BK ran out in June. The 33 year-old brings extensive experience from the two top leagues in Denmark, having played more 280 matches for clubs like Lyngby, Roskilde, HB Køge and AGF, and has scored more than 100 goals combined.

Chief Scout Brian Gellert has had his sights on the lethal striker for some time
– It’s no secret that we have been looking for attacking players, and Jeppe has been at the top of our list for some time now. When the possibility arose everyone in the sporting sector agreed to go all in for him, and we are very happy that our project won out over interest from quite a few other clubs.

This is a huge signing for FC Helsingør, and I won’t hesitate in calling Jeppe a “dream player” for us.

Jeppe Kjær is happy to join FC Helsingør:
– It was just the best “full package” for me. It’s a perfect setup for me both on the sporting side, but also for my private life. I’m not 22 anymore, so I needed to consider my life besides my football as well. That said, this is a really ambitious project where I can remain in a professional setup and train in a really nice environment, with some top-notch facilities. Having spoken with Morten Eskesen, I’m also satisfied that the club want to play the kind of football that suits me, and I could just see myself fit in perfectly here.
