FC Helsingør loans defender Dalton Wilkins and goalkeeper Christoffer Petersen to Kolding IF
Pair of Helsingør players join 2.Division club through the end of the 2021 calendar year
HELSINGØR (August 31, 2021) — FC Helsingør today announced the club has reached a pair of loan agreements with Kolding IF in Denmark’s third-tier 2.Division. New Zealand Under-20 international Dalton Wilkins and goalkeeper Christoffer Petersen will join the Jutland-based club through the end of the 2021 calendar year.
“Joining a club like Kolding IF will give both Dalton and Christoffer a chance to receive regular playing time and competition as we close out 2021,” FC Helsingør sporting director Brian Gellert said. “Kolding is a class organisation, and we’re pleased to have reached these agreements. We’ll watch, support and follow along as our boys make the move for the next few months.”
Wilkins, 22, is a quick and technical full back with five appearances with FC Helsingør through the last two seasons in the NordicBet Liga. Petersen, 23, helped guide Helsingør to its first-round extra-time victory in the Sydbank Pokalen over HB Køge.
Atop the NordicBet Liga table through seven matches FC Helsingør (6-1-0, 19 points) enters the September international break two points clear of second place. Helsingør faces Skjold on Wednesday in the second round of the Sydbank Pokalen (18.00 CET | TICKETS) before returning to league action on Sept. 12 at home against Hvidovre.
